Okay, friends. Let’s clear something up once and for all.Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of comments on our ads and videos along the lines of: “You only look good in those jeans because of shapewear.” Well… here’s the truth: I have worn the same shapewear in EVERY single video I’ve filmed for the past 6+ years. Whether I’m at home or the warehouse, I toss it on under my tops/jeans because: I film in front of windows with sheer curtains. My staff (male & female) probably prefer not to see me half-dressed. I don't want to accidentally flash anyone on a live. I’d like to take out the trash at home without worrying that my neighbors just got a free peep show. So yes, I wear shapewear. Always have. Always will. But guess what? That’s not what’s making me look good in jeans. The Shapewear I Actually Wear I don’t keep secrets around here, so here’s the deal: It’s minimal control — it smooths more than it “snatches.” Usually only wear it when I shoot or go live. It’s comfortable enough to wear all day (which is the only way I’ll do shapewear). We used to carry the tank top version in the boutique, but wholesale costs got too high compared to what you can get online. 👉 Here’s the exact bodysuit I wear and 👉 here’s the tank top version.Full disclosure: these are affiliate links, which means if you purchase through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.If you are looking for the white tank I have on top, 👉 it's from Target. It was laundry day and it was the only clean white thing I had to pair under that cardigan! I bought it to wear to Backstreet Boys when I found out we had to wear all white - While, I didn't wear it that night. I do go on walks wearing this! What’s Really Changed: My Weight Loss Journey Here’s the part I think some people aren’t realizing — I’ve lost weight. In Feb/March of 2024, I made some big changes to my diet. I am not a nutritionist, but if you are curious what I've changed, I am happy to make another blog on this. Then as of September 1st of this year, I started walking/jogging 3–5 miles, 6 days a week. And just this week? I stepped back into CrossFit for the first time in over 8 years. So while I wish shapewear could magically take care of all that, the truth is: the jeans look good on me because I’ve been putting in the work. I'm down 40lbs - slow and gradual over the last 80 weeks, that's 1/2 lb a week. Proof in the Photos I’ll even be sharing photos of me from 4–5 years ago in the SAME exact tank top/bodysuits I still wear in fit videos today. Spoiler alert: the tank hasn’t changed, but my body has. Oddly, I am in the same size tank XL and 2XL and I am the SAME size Jeans/Shorts. Why I’m Sharing This I want to stay transparent with you. I know people are curious, and I’d rather answer the questions directly than let rumors take over. And honestly? This is also my way of shutting the haters up — in the most fun, lighthearted way possible. 😉 At the end of the day, Whiskey Skies is about feeling confident in your own skin (and jeans). Whether you wear shapewear, don’t wear it, are on a health journey, or just want to rock some Judy Blues and feel amazing — you belong here. So nope, it’s not just the shapewear. It’s me, my work, my journey… and maybe a little bit of sheer stubbornness. 💪✨
